Baltra Island has a new Airport, is called the Eco airport, is bigger, you will have more space upon arrival, the luggage service is good, buses leaving to the nearest destinations are there, with very good drivers, willing to attend your needs.

Once leaving the airport you will see the Wind towers, a sign of us moving finally into a new era, more technological, and environmental friendly.
If you are lucky, just at landing or when leaving the airplane, land iguanas might see, they belong to Baltra or oficially called South Seymour, the weather is always nice, windy regardless the season.
But......., the airport is big, what does it mean? do we expect more visitors?
As a matter of fact, regardless the restrictions, and economical world issues, we do get more visitors in general. Not exactly per year, but as a whole, and this group of Islands still do not disappoint the mayority.
What is the point of this article?
Well, if you go to Galápagos, PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES ALWAYS, more visitors may come, with many different needs, and all of you with the same questions, how is it going to be.
