Everywhere you go, specially if the word Ecoturism is involved, or nature trips, one has to be sure, that the locals or employees are receiving a decent treatment, as well as the hotel, yacht, restaurant does care for the environment.
How to do this? where to look, what to look for.
I can not give you the right answers, right now, but if you book a trip anywhere, ask the agency or tour operator you are using, about the boat, hote you might be usingl, not just facilities, but if they know if the employees are locals, how involved are they with the comunity they are in.
Once there see if the workers/employees receive a decent salary, if they are payed on time.
Look around, if the facilities of your host do fulfill the basic requirements for garbagge dispossal, or if at to which point they limit the waste produced , etc, etc.
This is very important, as a nature traveler, then what you want is that with your visit you do not create a problem, but help to solve it.
