SOLITARIO JORGE? THE LONESOME

He died last saturday? what happened? I was guiding on sunday, that  day another working partner brought this into our conversation.
Bad news?
I do not know, we all have to die one day isn´t it.
Of course not good News, I would say it is a moment to stop and think.
Of what?
Well what is the meaning of Solitario Jorge .....to me.....
Since I became a guide he was always there, with his two companions from Isabela Island, and almost everybody who came to Galápagos, or wanted to come knew about him, his story, THE  LAST  ONE OF  HIS KIND.

People came, people left most likely very happy because this Islands are beautiful.
But how many have actually stopped to think " the last one", how many last ones are on earth?
He is gone now, think about it.

For me, he is like the end of something and beginning of something else, good, bad, I do not know.
All I know is that we are building a new Airport in Baltra at the same time, an ECO-AIRPORT .
Definetly things are changing, we will see.
